Steller's sea eagle - Rausu, Hokkaido, Japan (Sea of Okhotsk)
At the end of the sun rise, a final orangle glow appeared around this small ice chunk on which a Steller's sea eagle was perched.
This was taken on a trip meant solely for photography. We traveled to Tokyo and then took a domestic flight to the northernmost island of Japan (Hokkaido). On Hokkaido, we had vehicles to take our group to various places for photography. There were two trip guides but we arranged the trip through wildlife photographer Jon Cornforth
