Otowabashi Bridge at Sunrise - Hokkaido, JapanEven having been in the Arctic, I don't remember being THIS cold. And, just to get skunked! We went to the Otowabashi bridge to see the red-crowned cranes bask in the heated water from hot springs. But, the cranes decided they wanted to be elsewhere that day. What was left was a very cold bridge filled with a bunch of bored photographers. But, the colors of the sunset were lovely for a short bit. Then, it was just cold! (see how romantic photography can be)
This was taken on a trip meant solely for photography. We traveled to Tokyo and then took a domestic flight to the northernmost island of Japan (Hokkaido). On Hokkaido, we had vehicles to take our group to various places for photography. There were two trip guides but we arranged the trip through wildlife photographer
Jon Cornforth.
