Mt. Bertha, Northwest ridge of the Fairweather Range, SE Alaska

In addition to photographing bald eagles, Jon and I took a scenic flight along the Fairweather range at sunset. Even having my private pilot's license (I no longer personally fly), I will NEVER forget THIS flight. Glacial rivers flowing into the ocean at sunset. Incredible.

This was taken on a trip meant solely for photography. We traveled to Juneau, Alaska by plane and then an additional three hours by ferry to Haines. The trip was organized by wildlife photographer Jon Cornforth.
